I'm so excited to feature the amazing house (and account) of @collectedhome. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ This feed shows you just what you can accomplish with a modest mid-century home (this one is classic minimal traditional from 1942), a keen design eye, a willingness to revise, and a lasting love of house plants.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Here's a quote from a recent update post: "I wasn't sure about the cabinet in this spot at first, but now that I've got plants on it, it's perfect." That rings so true. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I totally admire, envy, and DO NOT emulate an amazing green thumb like this. ✧ I can only keep my elderly neighbor's plants alive when she's out of town by following detailed written instructions in my daily to do list! ✧ Collected Home is always adding cheerful new plants to her well curated views. ⁠⠀ ⠀ Also, her bird photobombs / portraits are beyond charming! This is Newton.⠀ ⁠⠀ We made instagram friends of each other when I road tripped to Indiana last year (collecting mid mod homes on my way to visit a friend). Collected Home suggested I tweak my itinerary to visit Avriel Schull's imaginative mid-century subdivision outside Indianapolis. It was a trip highlight!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Seriously, GO FOLLOW THIS ACCOUNT, if you have any ambitions to improve on your own mid mod spaces.
